Wellness Lifestyle: How To Afford It

A Wellness Lifestyle is a life designed around the key need we all have: Abundant Health.

Without health, we can't do any of the things we want and need to do with our lives. When our health fails, the rules of the game of life change.

Most of us sacrifice our health to some degree in our work life.

* We waste precious time commuting, breathing toxic fumes* We put up with stress in our workplace. * We put up with toxic chemicals we use in our work. * We subjugate our body's natural rhythms to the speed that is expected from us at work. * We wear out our body and/or our spirit, working to create our employer's wealth.

Our control over out diet suffers due to the demands of our workplace. We eat what's provided for us at working meetings. We grab fast food for the drive to work, for a quick lunch, or for the commute home. We know fast food is unhealthy, but it's available, it's cheap, and we're hungry and pressed for time.

Let's face it: working can put us on an unhealthy treadmill. It's a fight to resist the pressure to be forced into an unhealthy lifestyle of the majority of our peers.

Many of us don't even like what we do at work and this takes its toll on us psychologically and physically. We pay the price with indigestion, less productive mental attitudes, a sense that we're not in control of our own lives, etc.

We give most of our energies to our work and then don't have the time or energy to cultivate our health when we get home. The biggest barrier most of us face in creating a wellness lifestyle is our job...if we still have one.

Now that a lot of us are finding ourselves unemployed, with uncertain prospects for the future, it seems a good time to re-examine how we might find work in the future that is built around improving our health, rather than tearing it down. *******************************************

I have mostly been self-employed throughout my life and this gave me the freedom to work daily on maintaining my health. This has been very satisfying and has helped me avoid the need for urgent doctors and prescriptions, saving me lots of grief and money.

Working to build my own home based businesses has apparently done wonders for my biological age.

Many people have told me how surprised they were to learn my age -- I guess I don't look it -- and I give most of the credit to being self-employed and having the freedom to spend a little time daily to maintain my health and peace of mind.

Living a wellness lifestyle is a very attractive idea, but how do we pay the bills?

In view of the condition of the world economy in 2010, it might be wise to design a self-employment fallback plan to create your own income. And, while you're at it, you could make sure your new work is conducive to a wellness lifestyle.

In my work as a consultant to the U.S. Department of Commerce, I had a lot of time and opportunity to study home employment. While my mentors in the economic development business were pushing me to find small wood products manufacturers to fund, my interest was caught by the potential (this was in 1991) of the Internet to let people live anywhere and do business online with the world.

The power of the Internet has made wellness business opportunity available to all as a viable alternative to the dwindling number of Industrial Age business careers. Unfortunately, many people who try to build a wellness lifestyle business on the 'Net are stymied by the ever-changing complexities of creating a Web site that will actually attract traffic.

Although I came late to the actual process of setting up my own Web site -- and it's obvious I am no whiz at HTML or graphic design -- I have nevertheless found a system that took me step-by-step through building this site, which is ranked #5 today on Yahoo Search for my very competitive primary keyword.

The neat thing is that I haven't had to spend a small fortune on the many hyped internet marketing courses that are launched with mind-numbing frequency. All the changes in search engine algorithms are kept track of by the smart people who built this system called SiteBuildIt!, leaving me to do what I enjoy, which is writing.

If you are seeking a way to create a wellness lifestyle business of your own, I would highly recommend letting SiteBuildIt! handle all the tedia of hosting, domain registration, and giving you all the training and tools you'll need to build a highly-visited site on the subject of your choosing.

SiteBuildIt! gives you freedom by providing you with an online business-building system for less than a dollar a day. That's pretty amazing, isn't it?

After a year of building this online business with SBI!, I cringe to think how much more I could have achieved if I had spent more time USING all the tools they provide to help me build a highly-trafficked Web site. Still, my occasional first page rankings for my keywords demonstrate the power of this system.

If you're ready to get serious about building a successful wellness lifestyle home business, I recommend SiteBuildIt!

(If a klutz like me can get this far, imagine what you could do by using all the tools and actually reading the instructions!)
