The Best Weight Loss Advice I Could Give
by Tony Rovere

Having lost 60 pounds, I am also asked how I did it. And there is a ton of advice that I could give in reference to working out, eating right, finding the time to exercise, etc...
But if I was going to boil my success down to one idea, it would be to...
Pre-Plan Your Day!
And by this, I mean knowing before you go to bed what you are going to eat the next day, how many calories you plan to consume and when you are going to work out.
This might sound like a time intensive endeavor, but once you get the hang of it all it takes is about five minutes. Let me go over the three points...
1) Knowing what you are going to eat the next day-Anyone looking to stay healthy needs to monitor what they are eating. Here's an example of what I mean.
You are in your cubicle at work and the clock is ticking towards lunchtime. You didn't bring anything to eat and that is when you hear someone from the next cubicle call you and say, "We're ordering Chinese. Do you want anything?"
And you know what happens from there.
Knowing what you are going to eat the night before allows you to avoid this type of situation.
It even helps you with your cheat meals when you plan them. By knowing in advance what you are going to eat when you go out you, and this is easy these days with menus and calorie counts available online, you can have that cheat meal without completely blowing your diet.
2) Knowing how many calories you plan to consume-some people are calorie counters and others aren't. I definitely was one when I was losing weight. It was vital for me to know exactly how many calories I was going to consume. After all, how else could I ensure I was on the right track to lose weight and hit my goals?
3) Planning when to work out-for those of us with a job (or two), children, a spouse and maybe even aging parents to take care of, fitting in the time to work out is tough. The only way to do that is to plan ahead. By knowing when I could create free time in my schedule to work out ensured that I got my work out in.
This simple idea, planning my day in advance, helped to change my life. I hope that it does the same for you.
